Zollino, Italy

Zollino Italy

It is an Italian municipality located in the province of Lecce. There are testimonies that the territory of Zollino was inhabited in prehistoric times, such as dolmens and the menhirs. Zolino emerged as a dependent population of Soleto in the Mesopic Age (ninth century BC) and it grew thanks to its strategic position for trade between the peoples of the Ionic coast and those of the Adriatic. In the Byzantine Age, the Hellenic emigration also interested Zollino.
